E7 E - Mit dem aiMOOC-Generator Englisch 7 vertiefen

Mini-Beschreibung: Entwickle zu einem bereits verstandenen E7-Thema einen zusätzlichen medienreichen Übungskurs. Prüfe danach selbst, ob Niveau, Wortschatz, Grammatik, Textlänge, Medien und Lösungen wirklich zu Klasse 7 auf E-Niveau passen.

Your route: Notice → understand → try → use → communicate → feedback → improve → use again.

Einleitung

You already understand an English topic from class. Now you use the aiMOOC generator to build a short extra practice course around it.

English first. Try first. Use context, pictures, audio and hints. German help comes only when you really need it. Do not translate every sentence automatically.

Your extra course should feel like English in class: short texts, useful words, natural but understandable listening, speaking with a partner, a small writing task and clear feedback.

I can ...

  1. I can choose one E7 topic that I already understand.
  2. I can learn from media without needing every single word.
  3. I can use useful words in a new context.
  4. I can practise grammar because it helps me communicate.
  5. I can give my opinion, react and ask follow-up questions.
  6. I can write a short clear text for a real purpose.
  7. I can check AI output instead of accepting it automatically.

What you need before you start

Choose one topic you already know, for example:

  1. free time and hobbies
  2. travel and places
  3. school life
  4. films, games and media
  5. everyday environmental choices

Keep the topic narrow. One clear topic is better than five mixed topics.

Quick check: Can you already say 5–8 useful words and two or three sentences about your topic? If yes, you are ready.

Media start: Watch, notice, react

Before watching: What words do you expect in a short conversation about films and opinions?

First viewing: Watch for the general idea. Do not stop the video.

Second viewing: Listen for opinion phrases such as I think ..., It was ..., Do you think so? or Sounds good.

After viewing: Say one sentence about a film, game, book or video you know.

Hint: You do not need every word. Listen for names, repeated words, positive or negative reactions and the speakers' tone.

Deutsch-Hilfe nur bei Bedarf: Achte zuerst auf die Gesamtidee und auf bekannte Schlüsselwörter, nicht auf eine vollständige Übersetzung.

Media challenge

Listen or watch again and answer in English:

  1. Who has a positive opinion?
  2. Which words make the opinion clear?
  3. Does one speaker change their mind?
  4. Which short reaction could you reuse in your own conversation?

Then compare your answers with a partner.

Build your mini-course

Your course needs a simple learning path:

Notice → understand → try → use → communicate → feedback → improve → use again.

Use the generator as a helper, not as the author of your learning.

Step 1: Give the generator a clear E7 task

Use a prompt like this and replace the square brackets:

Create a short extra practice course for English, Year 7, E-level, Baden-Württemberg. Topic: [your topic]. I already understand the basic topic. Use mostly English, short age-appropriate texts, useful vocabulary in context, one listening or viewing task, one reading task, speaking, writing and direct feedback. Keep grammar at E7 level. Do not introduce passive voice or reported speech. Use past perfect only as a clearly marked optional outlook. Give hints before German help. Do not translate everything.

Then add your own limits:

  1. Text: short paragraphs, no text walls.
  2. Listening: understandable speed, preferably more than one speaker.
  3. Vocabulary: useful for the topic, not rare words.
  4. Speaking: opinion, reaction, question and follow-up.
  5. Writing: short but meaningful.
  6. Feedback: clear solutions or check criteria.

Step 2: Check the media

A good media task makes you do something.

Weak: “Watch this video.”

Better: “Watch once for the main idea. Watch again and note three opinion phrases. Then use one phrase in your own answer.”

Check that media are:

  1. understandable at your level,
  2. useful for the task,
  3. legally usable or linked from a reliable educational source,
  4. not based on private social-media profiles,
  5. short enough to support learning instead of replacing it.

Step 3: Read for meaning

Read this short E7 example:

Maya and Leo are planning a class media afternoon. Maya wants a comedy because everyone can relax after a long school week. Leo prefers an adventure film because he thinks it gives the group more to talk about. They agree to watch two short trailers first. After that, the class can vote.

Try these questions before using help:

  1. What does Maya want?
  2. Why does Leo prefer another type of film?
  3. What is their solution?
  4. Which idea would you support? Give one reason.

Hint: Look for because, prefers, agree and after that.

Deutsch-Hilfe bei Bedarf: Suche nach Begründungen und nach der gemeinsamen Lösung. Übersetze nicht jeden Satz.

Step 4: Vocabulary in context

Use words in chunks, not as isolated lists.

Useful chunk Use it for Example
In my opinion ... giving an opinion In my opinion, the second idea is better.
I agree because ... reacting and giving a reason I agree because it is easier for everyone.
I'm not sure about that. polite disagreement I'm not sure about that. It may be too long.
What do you think? inviting another speaker What do you think about the first option?
We could ... making a suggestion We could watch both trailers first.

Mini-transfer: Use three chunks to talk about your own topic.

Step 5: Pronunciation for communication

Read these lines aloud:

I think the first idea is better.

I'm not sure about that.

What do you think?

We could try both.

Focus on clear meaning, word stress and natural pauses. You do not need to sound like a native speaker.

Private practice: You may record yourself on your own device if you want to. Recording is voluntary. Do not upload a voice recording unless your teacher has clearly asked for it and the platform is approved.

Step 6: Speaking — opinion to mini-discussion

Work with a partner.

Round 1: Each person gives one opinion and one reason.

Round 2: React: agree, partly agree or disagree politely.

Round 3: Ask one follow-up question.

Round 4: Find one solution you can both accept.

Useful starters:

I think ... because ...

I see your point, but ...

Maybe. What about ...?

Why do you think that?

Could we ...?

Challenge: Speak for about one minute without reading a full script.

Step 7: Writing — short and useful

Write 70–100 words about your topic.

Your text should include:

  1. a clear opening,
  2. your opinion or main idea,
  3. two supporting details,
  4. one linking word such as because, but, so or although,
  5. a short ending.

Do not ask AI to replace your text. Write first. Then you may ask for feedback on one point, for example: “Check whether my verb forms are suitable for Year 7. Explain two important corrections.”

Functional grammar

Grammar helps you say what you mean.

Past simple or present perfect?

Use past simple for a finished past event with a finished time:

I watched the film yesterday.

Use present perfect for experience or a past action connected to now when the exact finished time is not the focus:

I've seen that film twice.

Compare:

I visited London last year.

I've visited London before.

Try:

  1. I ______ the game last Saturday. → played
  2. I ______ that game before. → have played
  3. She ______ the video yesterday. → watched
  4. She ______ three videos this week. → has watched

E-outlook: past perfect — only a small preview

You may meet the past perfect in a story when one past action happened before another past action:

When we arrived, the film had started.

For this course, notice the meaning only. You do not need to build long past-perfect exercises. Passive voice and reported speech are not introduced here.

Feedback loop

After the generator creates your extra course, check it before you learn with it.

Check Good sign Fix it when ...
Level You understand most of the English from context. too many unknown structures appear.
Vocabulary Words are useful for the topic. rare words make simple ideas difficult.
Grammar Grammar supports communication. passive, reported speech or advanced structures appear without need.
Text length You can read each section without a text wall. paragraphs become long and dense.
Listening You can catch the main idea after one or two listens. speed or vocabulary blocks the task completely.
Solutions closed tasks have clear, correct answers. answers are missing or contradictory.
Transfer You use English for a new example. you only repeat model sentences.

A useful correction prompt

If something is too difficult, do not ask for a completely new course immediately. Give specific feedback:

Keep the same topic and tasks. Simplify only the language to E7 E-level. Shorten long sentences. Replace unnecessary advanced vocabulary. Keep the useful challenge. Do not translate the whole text.

This makes your learning goal clearer.

Mini-transfer

Create a 5-minute extra activity for your original topic.

It must contain:

  1. one image, audio or video impulse,
  2. one short comprehension task,
  3. three useful phrases,
  4. one speaking or writing action,
  5. one self-check.

Then test it yourself.

Ask:

Did I understand the goal?

Did I use English, not only recognise it?

Was the challenge useful but manageable?

Can I improve one sentence and use it again?

Self-check: Can I do it?

Can-do statement Not yet With help Yes
I can select a suitable E7 topic. □ □ □
I can understand the main idea of a short media text. □ □ □
I can use topic vocabulary in my own sentences. □ □ □
I can give an opinion, react and ask a question. □ □ □
I can distinguish common uses of past simple and present perfect. □ □ □
I can check AI output for level, length and correctness. □ □ □

Choose one row with Not yet or With help. Improve exactly that point before you move on.

Folgekurs

Your next course should not simply be harder. It should give you a new situation.

Examples:

  1. Move from film opinions to planning a class event.
  2. Move from travel vocabulary to choosing between two trips.
  3. Move from school life to discussing one change for your school day.
  4. Move from environment to comparing two realistic everyday actions.

Keep the same cycle: notice → understand → try → use → communicate → feedback → improve → use again.

Lernkontrolle

  1. New situation: You receive a familiar E7 topic in a new context. Design a three-step activity that moves from understanding to communication and explain why each step is suitable.
  2. Media choice: Compare two possible media inputs for Year 7. Decide which features make each easier or harder to understand without ranking the learners themselves.
  3. Meaning before rule: Explain the difference in meaning between I watched it yesterday and I've watched it before. Then create one new example for each use.
  4. Conversation repair: A dialogue contains only short opinions with no reasons or questions. Improve it so the speakers react, ask and continue naturally.
  5. Revision: Improve a short E7 text that contains unnecessarily difficult vocabulary. Keep the ideas but make the language clear and age-appropriate.
  6. AI quality check: An AI course gives a long B2-level text, passive structures and no answer key. Explain what must change for E7 E-level and rewrite one small section.
  7. Learning loop: Describe how feedback changes a second attempt. Give one example from listening, speaking or writing.

Lernnachweis

For a successful learning record, show that you can:

  1. choose one already understood E7 topic and set a clear learning goal,
  2. use English first and ask for help in stages,
  3. understand the main idea of a short media text,
  4. use topic vocabulary in context,
  5. speak with opinions, reasons, reactions and questions,

  7. use suitable E7 grammar functionally,
  8. distinguish common uses of past simple and present perfect,
  9. check AI-generated tasks for level, vocabulary, grammar, length and solutions,
  10. revise your own work after feedback,
  11. use learning again in a new situation,
  12. handle recordings and personal information safely.

A learning record may include your prompt, selected tasks, your first attempt, feedback, an improved attempt and a short self-check. Private recordings remain voluntary and should not be uploaded without a clear approved reason.
