4 At twelve, the class had a picnic. Mia ate a cheese sandwich.

5 Then it started to rain. The group went to a small café.

You do not need a long grammar rule here. Use the forms to tell the story.

Two important error targets:

1. Say went, not goed.
2. After didn't, use the base verb: didn't go, not didn't went.

Speak clearly. You do not need a perfect accent. Being easy to understand is more important than accent-free speech.
