You do not need a long grammar rule. Use this pattern:

I choose + activity + because + weather.

Example: I choose a picnic because it is sunny.

Example: I choose reading inside because it is rainy.

Try it: I choose __________ because it is __________.

Feedback check: Do you have an activity? Do you have because? Do you have a weather word? If one part is missing, fix the sentence and say it again.

Plan a day

Model day:

Short presentation:

Now make one change: The afternoon is rainy. Change your plan and give a new reason.

Weather changes – plans change

Situation 1: You want to have a picnic. It starts to rain.

Say: We can read inside because it is rainy.

Situation 2: You want to stay inside. It becomes sunny and warm.

Say: We can ride our bikes because it is sunny.

Situation 3: It is windy.

Say: We can fly a kite because it is windy.

Safety first: If there is thunder or lightning, go inside and follow an adult's instructions.
