Fictional profile: Sam is 13. Sam likes mystery stories, short chapters and clever puzzles. Sam does not enjoy very scary stories.

Mia’s recommendation:

I’d recommend a mystery book with a young detective. You should choose one with short chapters because it is easy to read in small steps. You could read the first chapter before you decide. I think this kind of book is a good choice for Sam because Sam enjoys puzzles but does not want a horror story.

Check the text:

Functional grammar

should + base verb: You should watch this film.

could + base verb: You could try this game.

recommend + noun: I recommend this book.

recommend + -ing: I recommend reading the first chapter.

Use should for clear advice. Use could when you want to offer an option.

Give a 20–30 second recommendation. Include:

Use fictional profiles. Do not share private social-media data.

Audio or video recordings are voluntary and should stay private unless your teacher and everyone involved agree to another use. Do not upload recordings without permission.
