For questions: How many books...? How much water...?

For negative sentences: I don't have many books. We don't have much milk.

Extra tip: In everyday positive sentences, English speakers often use a lot of: We have a lot of apples. You do not need this rule for the main task today.

Hint: Look for numbers. Numbers often stand with countable nouns.
