Mini project: Connect information about two British cities and one region. You will use maps, photos, audio and short English texts. Your final product is a small media-supported Britain project.
Level: English, Klasse 6, E-Niveau, Baden-Württemberg.

Einleitung
Look at the four media first. What can you already see and name in English?
In this project, you visit London, Edinburgh and the Lake District. London and the Lake District are in England. Edinburgh is in Scotland. Great Britain is the large island with England, Scotland and Wales. The United Kingdom also includes Northern Ireland.
Try English first: Say one thing you notice in every picture.
Hint: Use: I can see ..., There is ..., It looks ...

London is the capital of England and the United Kingdom. The city stands on the River Thames. You can see famous places such as Tower Bridge and many museums, parks and busy streets. The Underground helps people travel across the city. London is very large, so different areas can feel very different.

Read:
Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland. Edinburgh Castle stands high above the city on Castle Rock. The Royal Mile is a historic street in the Old Town. Edinburgh is also known for arts and culture festivals. From higher places, you can see old and newer parts of the city together.

Lake District – lakes, fells and walking
Read:
The Lake District is a region and national park in Cumbria in north-west England. It has lakes, valleys and high fells. Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England, is here. Many people visit the area for walking and nature. The Lake District became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017.
Notice: This text is about a region, not a city. Find three nature words.

Write 80–120 words for your Britain project.
Your text should connect all three places. Do not write three separate lists.
Try English first.
Hint: Use this order: opening → London → Edinburgh → Lake District → comparison → closing.

Create a small project with two cities and one region: London, Edinburgh and the Lake District.
Use:

Your product can be a private slide show, digital poster or classroom display.
Media rule: Use Wikimedia Commons files or other media your teacher has approved. Keep the licence and source information. Do not download and re-upload YouTube videos.
Privacy rule: Recordings are voluntary and can stay private on the school device. Do not upload personal recordings, names or faces without permission.
AI rule: No external AI tool is needed. If your school allows AI, check facts, rewrite in your own words and be able to explain every sentence yourself.
