Axolotl & regeneration

Connect the literature. Challenge assumptions. Understand function.

Tissue, heart, brain, positional memory and limitations.

Research programme

  • Tissue: Which cells preserve positional information and which rebuild structure?
  • Organs: Which metabolic requirements constrain cardiac restoration?
  • Nervous system: How do local neuronal replacement and systemic neural control of other tissues differ?
  • Countertest: Which digits, injuries and age groups regenerate incompletely?

Prioritise a matrix of tissue, age, injury, structure and functional endpoint. Axolotl findings do not establish human efficacy.
