E8 G - Meine Lernwelt Englisch 8 nutzen

Mini-Beschreibung: Entwickle aus kurzen Diagnosen Deinen persönlichen Lernpfad durch Englisch 8. Du arbeitest auf G-Niveau in Klasse 8: mit klaren Aufgaben, vertrauten Themen, gezielter Wortschatzhilfe, Wiederholungsschleifen, Kompetenzkarten und einem kleinen Portfolio.

Einleitung

In diesem aiMOOC lernst Du nicht alles gleichzeitig. Du findest zuerst heraus, was schon klappt und was Du noch üben willst. Danach wählst Du passende Aufgaben.

Your learning rule: English first → context → try → ask → hint → German help if needed.

Du versuchst eine Aufgabe also zuerst mit dem englischen Kontext. Wenn Du festhängst, fragst Du nach einem Hinweis. Eine kurze deutsche Hilfe kommt erst danach. Eine vollständige Übersetzung ist normalerweise nicht nötig.

Look at the picture. What can you see? Say or write three short English sentences. Use simple language.

Vermeide Kulturklischees.

Medien-Einstieg

Before watching: What words do you expect in a short video about opinions?

First viewing: Watch without reading a transcript. Find the topic and one useful phrase.

Second viewing: Watch again. Pause once or twice. Note one phrase you understand.

After viewing: Use the phrase in your own sentence. You do not need to copy the speaker's accent.

I-can-Ziele

Am Ende kannst Du möglichst viele dieser Aussagen mit Yes, Almost oder Not yet beantworten.

  1. Listening: I can understand the main idea in clear, moderate English when there are only a few speakers.
  2. Reading: I can find important information in a longer short text about a familiar topic.
  3. Vocabulary: I can use useful words from the context instead of translating every word.
  4. Pronunciation: I can speak clearly enough to be understood.
  5. Speaking: I can give an opinion and add a reason.
  6. Writing: I can write a connected e-mail, report or short opinion/job text with a simple structure.
  7. Mediation: I can pass on the main message in simple English without translating every sentence.
  8. Grammar: I can understand selected forms such as past perfect and passive in a text and use simple reported speech without backshift.

Start-Diagnose

Do the mini tasks without a dictionary first.

A – Listening idea: Listen to a short English clip from this course. Can you name the topic after one listening?

B – Reading: Read the profile below once. Can you find the person's plan, one reason and one problem?

C – Speaking: Say: “I think school projects are useful because …”

D – Writing: Write four connected sentences about a school project, hobby or future job.

E – Grammar spotting: In the sentence “The posters were made by the media team”, can you find what was made?

Mark each area: Yes = I can do this alone. Almost = I need one hint. Not yet = I need a practice loop.

Kompetenzkarte

Skill I can ... My result Next step
Listening catch topic and key details Yes / Almost / Not yet Listening loop
Reading find main idea and useful details Yes / Almost / Not yet Reading loop
Speaking give an opinion with a reason Yes / Almost / Not yet Speaking loop
Writing connect several clear sentences Yes / Almost / Not yet Writing loop
Grammar notice useful forms in context Yes / Almost / Not yet Grammar loop

Dein Lernpfad

Choose your route.

  1. Route A – Ready: Do one core task, then move to transfer.
  2. Route B – Practice: Do the core task and one repetition loop.
  3. Route C – Support: Use the hint first, do a shorter task, then repeat with a new example.

After every loop, do a quick Can-do check. If it works, move on. If not, repeat with a smaller task.

Listening and Viewing

Context: A young adult prepares for a job interview. You only need the main situation and a few useful phrases.

Try 1 – no transcript: Who is preparing for what? Note two words you hear.

Try 2 – replay: Find one phrase that sounds useful for talking about strengths.

Hint: Listen for repeated words and stressed key words. Do not try to catch every word.

German help if needed: Suche zuerst nur Thema, Person und Ziel. Einzelne unbekannte Wörter dürfen offenbleiben.

Transfer: Imagine a short school job-shadowing interview. Say one strength: “I am good at … because …”

Listening-Wiederholungsschleife

1. Listen once for the topic. 2. Listen again for two details. 3. Check your notes. 4. Listen to the difficult part once more. 5. Only now use a transcript if one is available.

Reading

Fictional profile: Alex, 14

Alex likes practical school projects and digital design. Last month, the class created posters for a school event. Alex worked with two classmates. At first, the group had different ideas, but they made a simple plan. Alex says that teamwork is useful because everyone can bring a different skill. One poster was chosen for the school website. Before the class presented the project, Alex had already checked the spelling and the layout. Now Alex is interested in a short work-experience day at a local design studio. The main question is simple: What does a normal day in this job look like?

First read: Find the topic.

Second read: Find one reason, one past event and one future interest.

Hint: Look for signal words: because, before, now.

German help if needed: Du musst nicht jedes Wort verstehen. Suche zuerst die Informationen, nach denen die Aufgabe fragt.

Reading-Check

Answer in short English.

  1. What kind of projects does Alex like?
  2. Why does Alex think teamwork is useful?
  3. What had Alex done before the presentation?
  4. What job area is Alex interested in?

Kontextwortschatz

Learn words in small groups and in sentences.

Word Easy English clue Your example
skill something you can do well I can ...
strength something you are good at My strength is ...
improve make something better I want to improve ...
choose decide between options I choose ...
useful helpful for a task This phrase is useful because ...
experience something you do and learn from I had a good experience when ...

Mini-strategy: context first. Then guess. Then check. Do not build a full German word list.

Aussprache

Choose three useful words from this course, for example strength, experience and project.

Try: Say each word in a short sentence.

Ask: Ask a partner whether the sentence is easy to understand.

Hint: Speak a little slower, stress the important word and finish the word clearly.

Remember: Verständlichkeit ist wichtiger als Akzentfreiheit. Eine freiwillige Aufnahme darf privat bleiben.

Speaking

Task: Give an opinion with a reason.

Topic: School projects help us learn useful skills.

Use this structure: I think ... because ... . For example, ... .

If you need more support: In my opinion ... because ... .

If you are ready: Add a second reason or react to another idea: I understand that, but ...

Speak for about 30–45 seconds. One clear idea with a reason is enough.

Speaking-Feedback

Check three things:

  1. Did I say my opinion?
  2. Did I give a reason?
  3. Could another person understand me?

Do not count every small grammar mistake. First check whether the message works.

Writing

Choose one task.

A – E-mail: Write to a fictional exchange partner about a school project.

B – Short report: Report what your group did in a project.

C – Opinion/job text: Write what job area sounds interesting to you and why.

Target: about 80–120 words.

Simple structure: 1. Start: topic and situation. 2. Middle: two or three connected points. 3. End: result, opinion or next step.

Useful connectors: and, but, because, so, first, then, finally.

You get fewer sentence starters than in earlier years. Try to build some connections yourself.

Writing-Hilfe in Stufen

Hint 1: Underline the task words.

Hint 2: Write three content notes before full sentences.

Hint 3: Use one connector in every two or three sentences.

German help if needed: Plane den Inhalt kurz auf Deutsch, schreibe den eigentlichen Text aber auf Englisch.

Mediation

Situation: A fictional English-speaking student joins your class.

German school note: Am Donnerstag beginnt der Projekttag um 8:30 Uhr in Raum 204. Bringe Kopfhörer und einen Stift mit. Die erste Aufgabe wird zu zweit bearbeitet.

Tell the student the important information in simple English.

Do not translate word for word. Pass on: when – where – what to bring – how the first task works.

Functional Grammar

Grammar helps you understand and communicate. On G-level, some forms are mainly receptive: you should recognize and understand them, but you do not have to produce them freely.

Reported speech without backshift

For this course, keep the form simple.

Direct: Mia says: “I like design.”

Reported: Mia says that she likes design.

Direct: Ben says: “We need more time.”

Reported: Ben says that they need more time.

Focus on the message. You do not need systematic tense backshift here.

Passive – understand it in context

Read: The poster was designed by the media team.

Ask: What was designed? → the poster

Who did it? → the media team

On G-level, recognizing this pattern in a text is more important than producing many passive sentences yourself.

Past perfect – understand the order

Read: Before the class presented the project, Alex had already checked the spelling.

Two past actions: first → Alex checked the spelling. later → the class presented the project.

The form had checked helps show that one past action happened before another past action.

Do not force yourself to use this form in every writing task.

Was hier nicht zum Pflichtziel wird

In this G-learning path, you do not have to produce advanced passive structures, systematic reported-speech backshift, reported questions or commands. Past perfect progressive is also not a productive target here. Receptive forms should not be turned into unnecessary production drills.

Direktes Feedback und Fehleranalyse

After a task, use this order:

  1. Message: Is my meaning clear?
  2. Task: Did I answer what was asked?
  3. Connection: Did I connect my ideas?
  4. Language: Which one mistake should I fix first?
  5. Next try: Can I use the correction in a new sentence?

Error example: “I think projects is useful because we learn together.”

Step 1: The message is clear. Step 2: One useful correction is subject–verb agreement. Step 3: New try: “I think projects are useful because we learn together.”

Fix one important pattern, then try again.

Wiederholungsschleifen

Use short loops instead of doing many new tasks.

Loop 1 – vocabulary: Read → cover → say → use in one new sentence.

Loop 2 – listening: topic → detail → replay → check.

Loop 3 – speaking: say → get one hint → say again.

Loop 4 – writing: draft → one feedback point → improve → save version 2.

Loop 5 – grammar: spot the form → explain the meaning → find another example.

Portfolio

Keep a small learning portfolio. It can be digital or on paper.

Save:

  1. one start diagnosis,
  2. one listening note,
  3. one short reading answer,
  4. one speaking self-check,
  5. one writing draft and improved version,
  6. one grammar example you understood,
  7. one final Can-do check.

Do not store private data that is not needed for learning.

Can-do-Check und Folgekurs

Mark each statement.

Yes – Almost – Not yet

I can understand the topic of a clear short audio.

I can find key information in a familiar reading text.

I can use context before translating.

I can give an opinion and a reason.

I can write connected sentences with simple connectors.

I can explain important information instead of translating every word.

I can recognize passive and past perfect forms in context.

I can report a simple statement without using backshift.

Your next step: If you have many Yes marks, choose more transfer tasks. If you have several Almost marks, repeat one loop. If you have several Not yet marks, return to Route C and use the hints.
