E7 G - Practise English with AI safely

Mini-Beschreibung: Practise short English dialogues and a few questions with AI. Ask for easy English, known grammar and short replies. Use no personal data. You stay the author of your English.

I can ...

  1. I can ask AI for easy English.
  2. I can answer short questions with known grammar.
  3. I can keep personal data private.
  4. I can check AI feedback before I use it.
  5. I can improve my own short English text or dialogue.

Learning path

Step What you do
Notice See or hear a short model.
Understand Find the topic and key words.
Try Use a sentence starter.
Use Make your own short sentence.
Communicate Speak or write to a partner or approved AI.
Feedback Get one clear correction or hint.
Improve Change your own sentence.
Use again Try the chunk in a new mini-situation.

Vorwissen

Du brauchst nur bekannte Grundlagen: present simple, can / can't, einfache Fragen, kurze Antworten und etwas simple past.

Quick start: Complete aloud or in writing.

  1. I like ...
  2. I can ...
  3. Yesterday I ...
  4. Can you ...?

Media starter: listen and watch

First listen. Do not translate every word. Watch a short part and answer only: Who speaks? What is the topic? Which words do you know?

Try: Write two chunks you hear, for example: What's your name? / Nice to meet you.

Hint: Listen again. Pause after one short line and repeat it.

German help if needed: Suche nur Schlüsselwörter. Eine komplette Übersetzung brauchst Du nicht.

Viewing 2: likes and dislikes

Listen first: What does one person like? Then watch again and collect one useful chunk with I like ... or I don't like ....

Viewing 3: can and can't

Mini-task: Say three true or fictional sentences: I can ..., I can't ..., Can you ...?

Viewing 4: simple past

First try without transcript: What did one speaker do? Listen again and notice one past verb.

Reading: a safe AI chat

Fictional practice profile: Alex, 13, likes music and football. No real school, address, account name or contact data is used.

Learner: Please practise English with me. Use easy English, known grammar and short replies. Ask one question at a time.

AI: Sure. What do you like doing after school?

Learner: I like playing football and listening to music.

AI: Nice. When do you play football?

Learner: I play on Fridays.

AI: Good. Small feedback: your sentences are clear. Now ask me one question with can.

Notice: The AI asks short questions. The learner writes the English. The AI gives one small piece of feedback.

Check the chat

  1. What is the topic?
  2. Find one sentence in the present simple.
  3. Find one useful feedback phrase.
  4. Is any real personal data used? Explain briefly.

Vocabulary in context

Chunk Use
Please use easy English. Ask for simple language.
Ask one question at a time. Slow the task down.
Please give a short hint. Get help without getting the full answer.
Please use grammar I know. Keep the level suitable.
Can you say that more slowly? Ask for easier listening.
Please check only one mistake. Keep feedback clear.
I want to improve my sentence. Stay the author.

Pronunciation

Goal: be easy to understand, not accent-free.

Try these short chunks slowly, then at normal speed:

  1. Can you help me?
  2. Please ask one question.
  3. I can try again.
  4. Could you repeat that?

Tip: Stress the important word: ONE question, SHORT reply, EASY English.

Private recording option: Record one sentence only if you want to. Keep it on your device. Listen once, improve one word, then delete it if you wish.

Speaking

Partner or approved AI task: Make a four-turn dialogue.

A: Hi! What do you like doing after school?

B: I like ...

A: Can you ...?

B: Yes, I can. / No, I can't. What about you?

Mini-transfer: Change the topic: hobbies → school day → weekend → food.

Writing with a safe prompt

Use this only with a teacher-approved AI. Do not add personal data.

Safe prompt model:

Act as a friendly English practice partner for a German Year 7 learner. Use easy English, known grammar and short replies. Ask one question at a time. Use present simple, can/can't and simple past only. Give one short hint before a correction. Do not ask for personal data. Use fictional names and situations.

Your task: Ask for either a four-turn dialogue or three practice questions. Answer yourself. Then check the AI feedback before you change anything.

Writing frame

Topic: My fictional weekend

Word bank: played – watched – visited – cooked – listened – went – with – on Saturday – on Sunday – because – fun – tired

Sentence starters:

  1. On Saturday, I ...
  2. Then I ...
  3. On Sunday, I ...
  4. It was ... because ...

Feedback request: Please check one grammar mistake and one word. Keep my ideas.

Grammar that helps communication

Present simple: I play football. / Do you play football?

Can: I can swim. / Can you swim?

Simple past: I played football yesterday. / What did you do?

Use grammar to say something, not to fill long rule lists.

Controlled E-outlook only: You may notice a sentence such as After I had finished my homework, I asked for one practice question. You do not need to use the past perfect in this G-level course. Passive and reported speech are not introduced here.

Help ladder

  1. Try first: answer with words you know.
  2. Context: look at the image, video or model.
  3. Hint: use the word bank or one sentence starter.
  4. Short German help: ask for the meaning of one key word or one short instruction.
  5. Try again: write or say your own English sentence.

No automatic full translation: English comes first.

Safe AI check

Before you send anything, ask:

  1. Is this information fictional or non-personal?
  2. Is the AI tool approved for this lesson?
  3. Am I asking for practice, not for a finished homework text?
  4. Can I check the answer with my book, notes, teacher or another reliable source?
  5. Will I keep my own ideas and wording?

Never paste: private chats, real social-media posts, passwords, addresses, phone numbers, private photos or other people's personal data.

Mediation mini-task

Read the English safety rule: Do not share personal data. Use fictional details. Check AI feedback. Explain the three ideas briefly in German to a classmate. Do not translate the whole course.

Direct feedback

After each try, use this quick check:

  1. Meaning: Is my message clear?
  2. Grammar: Did I use a form I know?
  3. Words: Are the key words correct?
  4. Safety: Did I keep data private?
  5. Ownership: Is it still my text?

Then improve one thing and use the sentence again.

Self-check: Can do

I can ... Yes Not yet
ask for easy English and short replies ☐ ☐
answer three short questions ☐ ☐
make a four-turn dialogue ☐ ☐
use no personal data ☐ ☐
check one AI correction ☐ ☐
improve my own sentence ☐ ☐

Next step: Practise a new topic with the same safe routine.
