Risks and conflicting results

Connect the literature. Challenge assumptions. Understand function.

Negative results, model limitations and replication gaps.

Active counterchecks

  • Completeness: “regeneration” may mean growth, morphology or function. Incomplete digit regeneration directly challenges blanket claims of perfect restoration.
  • Causality: cross-sectional data, aging clocks and human autopsies do not establish intervention benefit.
  • Replication: several cohorts in one paper are not automatically independent replication.
  • Context: the same signalling axis may act differently by tissue, age and repair phase.
  • Long-term risks: uncontrolled growth, altered cell identity and faulty functional integration require safety assessment.
  • Publication status: preprints are labelled separately; later runs check retractions and corrections.

Starting counterexample: AG-S07
