English: Changing Places Disabled Toilet. The Changing Places Toilets campaign was started in the UK to provide because standard accessible toilets do not meet the needs of all people with a disability. People with profound and multiple learning disabilities, as well as people with other physical disabilities such as spinal injuries, muscular dystrophy and multiple sclerosis often need extra equipment and space to allow them to use the toilets safely and comfortably. The Changing Places campaign started to support parents of children and adults with profound and multiple disabilities (PMLD) so that parents no longer had to change their child on dirty toilet floors or in the back of mobility vehicles.
