ABI LF - Meine persönliche schriftliche Abiturstrategie optimieren

Einleitung

Your goal: turn evidence from several timed simulations into one personal, testable exam-day plan. You compare listening, task choice, reading, planning, language, time use, final check and recurring errors. Then you keep what repeatedly works and replace what repeatedly costs time or accuracy.

Mögliche Zieltextsorten 2027 sind article, blog entry, email, letter, letter to the editor und speech manuscript.

Zugelassene Hilfsmittel sind laut Facherlass ein einsprachiges Englisch-Wörterbuch, ein zweisprachiges Englisch–Deutsch/Deutsch–Englisch-Wörterbuch sowie ein Nachschlagewerk zur deutschen Rechtschreibung. Trainiere deshalb mit genau den Hilfsmitteln, die Dir in der Prüfung tatsächlich zur Verfügung stehen.

Pflichtthema 2027: On the Move: Migration and Cross-Cultural Encounters. Zusätzlich werden die Themenfelder USA und United Kingdom unter Politics, culture, society – between tradition and change vorausgesetzt. Zum Pflichtkanon gehören Arrival sowie die im Facherlass genannten Kurzprosa-Texte von Jhumpa Lahiri, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Sefi Atta, Andrea Levy, Luis Alberto Urrea, Zadie Smith, Kit de Waal und Neel Mukherjee. I-can-Ziele

Nach diesem Kurs kannst Du sagen:

  1. I can compare several simulations using the same evidence categories.
  2. I can choose between the two writing tasks using explicit criteria instead of impulse.
  3. I can separate reading, planning, drafting and checking time.
  4. I can build analysis from claim, evidence, technique and effect.
  5. I can identify recurring language errors and turn them into check routines.
  6. I can use context, word families, English explanations and dictionaries before German help.
  7. I can produce a personal 225-minute plan that is supported by simulation evidence.
  8. I can distinguish the written exam from the Kommunikationsprüfung and from mediation work in the qualification phase.

Vorwissen: 90-second baseline

Write privately, without looking at old grades:

Prompt Your note
My strongest phase is ... ____________________
My biggest time leak is ... ____________________
My most frequent language error is ... ____________________
The task type I choose too quickly or avoid is ... ____________________
My current final-check time is ... ____________________

Do not turn this first impression into a conclusion. The simulations below are there to test it.

Simulationsanalyse: evidence before intuition

The data below are fictional. Use them only to learn the method; replace them with your own private notes.

Simulation Listening Choice / Read / Plan / Draft / Check Language pattern Main observation
A 71 % correct items 18 / 35 / 12 / 158 / 2 min tense drift; articles late decision leaves almost no final check
B 78 % correct items 12 / 30 / 18 / 158 / 7 min collocations faster choice creates useful checking time
C 83 % correct items 9 / 28 / 20 / 158 / 10 min word formation; punctuation planning becomes more stable
D 86 % correct items 8 / 27 / 20 / 158 / 12 min isolated article errors stable process; final check is now realistic

Analyse rule: Do not ask only What score did I get? Ask Which process change explains the difference? A strategy becomes personal only when repeated timed evidence supports it.

Use the same eight lenses after every simulation:

  1. Listening: Where did comprehension fail: sound, vocabulary, inference, attention or task reading?
  2. Task choice: How long did the decision take, and what evidence supported it?
  3. Reading: Did annotations map directly to the operator and task?
  4. Planning: Did the plan contain a thesis, evidence clusters and a clear endpoint?
  5. Language: Which repeated patterns reduced precision?
  6. Time: Which phase expanded beyond its purpose?
  7. Final check: Was there enough time to run targeted checks?
  8. Recurring errors: Which error appeared in at least two simulations?

Listening and Viewing

Listening routine: preview → predict → listen → recover → classify.

  1. Preview: Read the item before the audio and mark the information type you need.
  2. Predict: Anticipate topic vocabulary, contrasts, numbers, names and speaker stance.
  3. Listen: Follow meaning, not every word.
  4. Recover: If one answer is missed, move on instead of losing the next item.
  5. Classify: After practice, tag each error as sound, vocabulary, inference, attention or task-reading.

Viewing is useful for multimodal competence and course work, but the 2027 written Part I specified here is listening comprehension. Train the exact exam mode separately from general video comprehension.

Task choice and Reading

Task choice

Do a short two-pass comparison. Do not decide because one topic merely feels familiar.

Criterion Green signal Warning signal
Operator I can state what the task requires in one sentence. I am still guessing what the operator means.
Evidence I can already see several analysable passages or features. I would rely mainly on background knowledge.
Text type I know which features are relevant for this text type. I would use a generic checklist.
II.3 I can imagine a coherent position or target text. I have ideas but no material link.
Time risk The route fits my tested workflow. The route needs unfamiliar rescue strategies.

Decision sentence: I choose task ___ because the operator is clear, the material offers analyzable evidence, and I can plan II.3 without forcing background knowledge.

Reading

Read the task before the text. Build a task map:

  1. operator and aspect
  2. paragraph function
  3. claim or development
  4. usable evidence
  5. technique or formal feature
  6. link to purpose, perspective or context

For the Leistungsfach, reading is not only extraction. It must support differentiated AFB II/III work: explanation, analysis, evaluation and independent material connections.

Kontextwortschatz und Wörterbuch

English-first help ladder:

  1. Context: What does the sentence and paragraph make likely?
  2. Word formation: Identify root, prefix, suffix and part of speech.
  3. Visualisation / cognates: Build a mental image or safe word link.
  4. English explanation: Paraphrase the meaning in simple English.
  5. Dictionary: Check part of speech, meaning, collocation, register and one example.
  6. German help last: Use a German equivalent only if meaning is still unclear.

Example word family: interpret → interpretation → interpretive. Example collocation check: do not learn only evidence; learn patterns such as provide evidence, support a claim with evidence and evidence suggests.

A dictionary is not a time-neutral tool. During simulations, mark every lookup. Keep only lookups that actually improve meaning, register or accuracy.

Analyse: from feature spotting to interpretation

Use the chain:

claim → evidence → technique → effect → purpose/context

A strong paragraph does not stop at naming a stylistic device.

Literary route: language, lexical fields, tone, stylistic devices, syntax, narrative situation, point of view, presentation, characterization, plot/time structure and setting can become relevant when the task calls for them.

Non-literary route: structure, line of argument, register, tone, stylistic choices and communicative strategies such as forms of address, statistics, references, quotations, examples and perspective may matter.

Visual material: if the task includes an image, poster, cartoon, diagram, table or chart, connect composition, proportion, scale, symbolism, perspective, captions, headings or slogans to the task.

Short sentence frames may help, but they are not an essay:

  1. The repeated contrast between ... and ... frames ... as ...
  2. By shifting from ... to ..., the narrator/speaker invites the reader to ...
  3. The statistic functions as evidence for ..., while its placement also ...

Writing

Planning

Before drafting, reduce the task to four lines:

  1. Thesis: my central answer to the operator
  2. Evidence clusters: the passages/features that prove it
  3. Progression: why paragraph 2 must follow paragraph 1
  4. Endpoint: the insight or judgement the response should reach

For II.3, add audience, purpose, register, target text type before writing.

Language

Because the 2027 correction framework weights the overall writing result 40 % content : 60 % language, language control belongs inside the strategy, not only at the end.

Run language checks by pattern, not by vague rereading:

  1. verbs and agreement
  2. articles and prepositions
  3. word formation and collocation
  4. reference words and cohesion
  5. register and target-text conventions
  6. spelling and punctuation

Final check

Use five focused passes:

  1. Task fulfilment: Did every paragraph answer the operator?
  2. Evidence: Are claims connected to specific textual/material evidence?
  3. Coherence: Are references and transitions clear?
  4. Recurring errors: Check only the patterns your simulations proved are recurrent.
  5. Surface check: spelling, punctuation and target-text form.

Example 225-minute plan

This is a fictional example, not an official time allocation. The official rule is the total of 225 minutes including choice; your internal split must come from your own simulations and the concrete task weighting.

Phase Example Your tested time
Task choice 8 min ___
Read and annotate 27 min ___
Plan all three sub-tasks 20 min ___
II.1 28 min ___
II.2 55 min ___
II.3 75 min ___
Final check 12 min ___
Total 225 min 225 min

If your own data contradict this example, trust your tested process rather than the example.

Feedback and recurring-errors lab

An error log is useful only when it changes the next performance.

Pattern Evidence from simulations Trigger Correction rule Check cue
Example: tense drift A and B switching from summary to analysis keep analytical commentary in present tense unless time reference requires otherwise verbs pass
Your pattern ______ ______ ______ ______

Use this feedback sequence:

  1. What I intended to do ...
  2. What the text/material actually supports ...
  3. The one revision that improves task fulfilment, evidence or language is ...
  4. I will test this revision in the next timed simulation ...

Peer feedback is optional and should use copies without personal data. Do not upload classmates' work or recordings without explicit permission.

Speaking and Mediation: separate tracks

The Kommunikationsprüfung is a separate assessed component of the written-Abitur subject. For 2027, preparation is 15 minutes; individual and tandem formats combine monologic and dialogic speaking. The overall weighting is 25 %. Keep its practice plan separate from the 225-minute writing strategy.

Mediation remains an important competence in the qualification phase. The 2027 Facherlass requires one test or part of a test for mediation there, usually about 60 minutes and in isolated form. It is not listed as a separate central component beside Listening and Writing in the 2027 written Part A.

A useful transfer routine is: identify audience → select relevant content → reformulate in English → adjust register → check cultural assumptions. Do not translate line by line.

Differenzierung im Leistungsfach

Support What you do
Guided use a highlighted operator, a one-column evidence bank and one English sentence frame per analytical move
Standard build the evidence map and paragraph progression independently
LF stretch connect materials independently, qualify interpretations, compare perspectives, handle ambiguity and justify evaluation with precise evidence

Leistungsfach focus: größere Breite, Tiefe und Textkomplexität; differenzierte belegte Analyse; selbstständige Materialverknüpfung; mehr AFB II/III. Mehr Textmenge allein ist keine Vertiefung.

Abi-Check: one last controlled simulation

Run one final simulation as close as reasonably possible to the official format:

  1. use the official total time
  2. use only permitted aids
  3. keep the listening phase separate from the writing phase
  4. include the official break structure if practicable
  5. do not search the web or use external AI during the simulation
  6. record process data after, not during, the most demanding writing phases
  7. compare the result with at least two earlier simulations

Stop changing everything at once. In the last phase of preparation, keep stable routines stable and target only recurring, evidence-based weaknesses.

Mein letzter persönlicher Prüfungsplan

Complete this only after several simulations.

Trigger My rule
Before Listening I will ______________________________________________
If I miss one listening item I will ______________________________________________
When choosing the writing task I will compare ______________________________________
My reading method I will ______________________________________________
My planning minimum I need ______________________________________________
My recurring language checks I will check ________________________________________
My time warning sign At ______ minutes I will ____________________________
My protected final-check time ______ minutes
If I get stuck I will ______________________________________________
Final sentence before handing in I have answered the operator and checked ____________

One-page rule: Your final plan should fit on one page in practice. The goal is not more advice; it is a small number of tested decisions you can execute under pressure.

Folgekurs und Transfer

After the written strategy is stable, continue with three separate tracks:

  1. Communication track: monologue, interaction and spontaneous response.
  2. Academic transfer: source checking, synthesis, citation awareness and independent argument.
  3. Language development: keep a small error log and retire a category when it no longer recurs.

Offene Aufgaben

Leicht

  1. Simulation snapshot: Take one old simulation and record only five process facts: listening result, choice time, reading/planning time, final-check time and one recurring error.
  2. Listening error tags: After a short legal listening source, label each missed item as sound, vocabulary, inference, attention or task-reading.
  3. Word-family cards: Create six English-first cards with root, noun, verb/adjective form, collocation and an English example.
  4. Time map: Visualise where your 225 writing minutes currently go without changing the plan yet.

Standard

  1. Reading micro-simulation: Use a short openly licensed or teacher-provided text and complete task scan, reading map and evidence bank under a self-set time limit.
  2. Task-choice comparison: Compare two possible tasks using operator clarity, evidence, text type, II.3 route and time risk; justify the choice in English.
  3. Paragraph revision: Rewrite one of your own analytical paragraphs so every interpretive claim is linked to evidence and effect.
  4. Private peer feedback: With permission, exchange one paragraph and give feedback only on task fulfilment, evidence and one agreed language category; do not upload the text externally.

Schwer

  1. Full written simulation: Complete a 225-minute writing simulation with only the aids permitted for the real exam and record process data afterwards.
  2. Data-based final plan: Compare at least three simulations and justify every time allocation in your one-page final plan with evidence.
  3. Cross-material analysis: Combine a short legal/open text with a chart or image and write a differentiated LF analysis that addresses ambiguity and alternative readings.
  4. Transfer to communication: Build a separate monologue-dialogue practice from the same topic; recording is optional and should stay private unless you explicitly choose otherwise.

Text bearbeiten Bild einfügen Video einbetten Interaktive Aufgaben erstellen

Lernkontrolle

  1. Time diagnosis: A fictional candidate uses 20 minutes for task choice and only 2 minutes for final checking in three simulations. Explain which process change you would test next and what evidence would show that it works.
  2. Strategy comparison: Compare two task-choice strategies: familiarity-first and evidence-first. Explain when each can mislead and formulate a defensible decision rule.
  3. Analysis transfer: Take one claim from your own practice text and show how its quality changes when you add precise evidence, technique, effect and purpose.
  4. Language transfer: Choose one recurring grammar or lexical pattern from two simulations. Design a three-step correction routine and explain why a general reread would be less efficient.
  5. Material connection: Explain how the analysis of a chart, image or poster must be linked to the linear text instead of becoming a separate description.
  6. Format distinction: Explain why the 225-minute writing strategy, the Kommunikationsprüfung and mediation practice need separate plans even though all belong to English competence.
