Einleitung

In this mini aiMOOC, you practise a short café conversation in English. You use simple, useful chunks and then create your own role-play.

Important: Speak clearly. You do not need a perfect accent. Your partner only needs to understand you.

Privacy: Audio or video recordings are optional. Keep recordings private unless your teacher and you have agreed on something else. Do not upload personal recordings or data to external services or AI tools without permission.

Grammar in action: Use I'd like ... or Can I have ...? to make a polite order. You do not need to explain the grammar rule first. Use the whole chunk.

Hear and understand

Listen to the short word audios again. Then listen to the café video once more.

First listening: What food or drink do you hear?

Second listening: Listen for one polite phrase.

Third listening: Pause after a short sentence and repeat it.

Listen – repeat – change

Read the dialogue with a partner.

Round 1: Repeat the model.

Round 2: Change the drink.

Round 3: Change the snack and the price.

Round 4: Speak with only the menu as help.

Feedback: Did your partner understand the order? If not, say it again more slowly and clearly.

Your scene needs:

Optional recording: You may record your role-play for yourself or for a teacher-approved class task. Recording is not required. Keep personal data out of the recording.

AI note: If an AI tool gives you language help, check the suggestion. Keep your own sentence choices and your own speaking. Do not send private recordings or personal data to an external AI service without permission.

1. Role swap: Spiele dieselbe Szene zweimal und tausche danach die Rollen.
2. Rescue round: Baue bewusst eine Stelle ein, an der du Again, please oder A little slower, please sagen musst.
3. Change the order: Beginne mit einer Bestellung und ändere danach ein Getränk oder einen Snack höflich.
4. Listen and note: Höre den eingebetteten Café-Dialog und notiere drei Chunks, die für dein eigenes Rollenspiel nützlich sind.

Schwer

1. No-script café: Spiele eine 45–60 Sekunden lange Szene nur mit Speisekarte und Rollenkarte, ohne ausgeschriebenen Dialog.
2. Peer feedback: Beobachte ein Rollenspiel und gib zwei konkrete Rückmeldungen zu Verständlichkeit und passenden Chunks.
3. Pop-up café: Plant zu dritt einen kleinen Klassen-Caféstand mit Menü, Rollen und zwei wechselnden Kundensituationen.
4. New situation: Übertrage die Chunks auf einen anderen Ort, zum Beispiel snack bar oder school kiosk, und passe mindestens vier Sätze an.

Lernkontrolle

1. Missverständnis lösen: Dein Partner versteht deine Bestellung nicht. Formuliere zwei passende englische Reaktionen und erkläre auf Deutsch kurz, warum sie helfen.
2. Dialog ergänzen: Ergänze einen unvollständigen Café-Dialog so, dass Bestellung, Rückfrage, Preis und Bezahlung logisch zusammenpassen.
3. Situation wechseln: Übertrage die wichtigsten Chunks aus dem Café in einen Schulkiosk. Entscheide, welche Sätze gleich bleiben und welche du verändern musst.
4. Formulierungen vergleichen: Vergleiche Give me a juice und I'd like a juice, please. Beschreibe, welche Form für das Rollenspiel geeigneter ist und warum.
5. Listening strategy: Erkläre, wie du beim zweiten Hören gezielt nach Bestellung, Rückfrage und Preis suchen kannst, ohne jedes Wort verstehen zu müssen.
6. Verbesserungsrunde: Überarbeite einen kurzen Dialog nach Partnerfeedback und markiere zwei Stellen, die du verständlicher oder passender gemacht hast.

Für einen Lernnachweis ist wichtig:

1. Du kannst eine kurze Café-Szene verständlich durchführen.
2. Du verwendest passende Chunks für Bestellung, Rückfrage, Preis und Bezahlung.
3. Du reagierst auf mindestens eine Frage deines Gesprächspartners.
4. Du kannst bei einem Missverständnis eine einfache Verständnishilfe verwenden.
5. Du kannst nach Feedback eine zweite, verbesserte Runde spielen.
6. Deine Inhalte und Rollendaten bleiben fiktiv; eine Aufnahme ist nicht erforderlich.
