Biotechnology
Connect the literature. Challenge assumptions. Understand function.
Methods, measurement limits and reproducible testing strategies.
Methods lab
- Spatial transcriptomics: test cell-state assignments against geometry and batch effects; do not equate RNA with protein activity.
- Activity-based proteomics: measure enzymatic activity separately from abundance.
- Pulse-chase: distinguish synthesis, degradation, transport and cell loss in the model.
- Perturbation: plan orthogonal methods, rescue and negative controls.
- Open data: check accessibility, metadata, analysis versions and computing cost before reanalysis.
The initial deliverables are research designs. No new raw-data analyses or biological experiments have been performed.
